NCCBI Announces Venture
With Kiplinger To Offer Publications
to Members At Deep Discounts

The Kiplinger publishing organization in Washington, D.C., and NCCBI have announced a venture in which NCCBI will offer Kiplinger publications to its members at preferred, member-only prices.

“Members of NCCBI will be able to receive the weekly Kiplinger Letter and other Kiplinger publications at a significant discount,” said Knight Kiplinger (left), president of The Kiplinger Washington Editors Inc. “This unique arrangement is a new marketing initiative for our company, and we are very pleased that NCCBI has joined us. I believe that both organizations will benefit.”

NCCBI President Phil Kirk agreed. “The Kiplinger publications are the most accurate, most insightful ones which cross my desk each week,” Kirk said. “NCCBI is pleased to partner with the respected Kiplinger organization to bring these informative materials to our members.”

A brochure detailing the arrangement and the deep discounts is being mailed to all NCCBI members. Also, Kiplinger has created a
special web site containing all this information plus a mechanism for NCCBI members to order the publications direct.

Terms and conditions vary, but NCCBI members generally can subscribe to the Kiplinger publications at up to 50 percent off regular rates. Among the Kiplinger publications NCCBI members can receive are:

The Kiplinger Letter. First published in 1923, it is the most widely read business forecasting publication in the world. The Letter keeps subscribers advised of trends in the broad economy, population, specific industries, congressional activity, regulatory actions, personal investments and world affairs.

The Kiplinger Tax Letter. Expert help for those who want to save on their taxes, or who want to know the tax consequences of their business and personal finance decisions. Includes reports on IRS rulings, Treasury regulations, legislative moves, court decisions, and legal interpretations.

The Kiplinger Agriculture Letter. Reveals the latest outlook for agriculture and agribusiness. This unique publication also provides timely forecasts of USDA and legislative policy, farm income and price outlooks, labor supply data, expert advice on wages and crops, new food processing plans and methods, and marketing strategies.

The Kiplinger California Letter. Economic and financial advice and guidance for anyone with business, investment or residence interests in California.

Kiplinger's Retirement Report. An authoritative help to plan and enjoy a worry-free retirement. Reveals best strategies for retirement investing and estate planning, protecting one's nest egg, staying fit, finding the best health care, choosing retirement locations, and securing best housing, among other topics.

Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine. A monthly publication that helps its readers better manage personal and family financial affairs and spend money wisely.

Kiplinger books and video tapes. Kiplinger offers an array of products that cover many personal finance and business topics, including investing, kids and money, and buying and selling a home.

The Kiplinger organization, founded in 1920 by W.M. Kiplinger, is a closely held business. NCCBI, a nonprofit, nonpartisan business organization with about 2,000 members of all types and sizes, serves as the state chamber of commerce.
