Seen at the
Annual Meeting

The Raleigh Civic and Convention Center was filled with people and action Wednesday during the NCCBI Annual Meeting. Here's a recap in pictures:

Dinner speaker Julian Robertson, who was introduced by his son, a senior at Carolina

New DENR Secretary Tom Ross spoke at the environmental seminar

New Transportation Secretary Lyndo Tippett spoke at the transportation seminar

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Zaytoun with Gov. and Mrs. Mike Easley. Zaytoun, a friend of the governor since they were kids, introduced Easley at the luncheon.

Nancy Stuart (left) and Jane Knox, daughters of Sen. Jesse Helms, accepted his Citation for Distinguished Public Service. Bad weather in the Washington area disrupted air travel and prevented Sen. Helms from accepting the award in person.

New chairman Gordon Myers of Asheville chats with a friend from back home, Sen. Steve Metcalf.
